There were many deeply unpleasant proposals. One of the most controversial was the Employer’s National Insurance slated to go up by 1.2% to 15%, a tax on jobs. The Farmers are protesting strongly against the IHT changes that will severely impact the ability of small farmers to hand down their farms to the next generation.
The list of reasons why the budget won’t promote growth will not have made happy weekend reading for the Ms Reeves.
